Office of Rural Prosperity

WEDC, Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. launched a new initiative aimed at rural prosperity and needed a website to support the effort. The core offering of the site is a searchable directory of programs available to businesses, organizations, and individuals in rural Wisconsin. The complication is that the programs are offered by dozens of organizations from regional economic development groups to churches. This required building a site with custom levels of content administration that allow the organizations to upload and maintain only their sponsored programs.

While at Nelson Schmidt I designed and oversaw the build of the ORP website utilizing a powerful faceted search approach to the program directory. Gorgeous custom photography was implemented to give the site a polished look and feel.
